At the start of her career her performances in film earned her numerous high-profile awards. During her high-school years, she began to lose her interest in the entertainment business. She missed all her classmates during movie shootings. She was interested in acting but her interest in the industry began to wane and she turned her attention to studying. She hoped to be a food reporter, but all she was offered was as an fact-checker in the Zagat guide to restaurants. Another job with HarperCollins as an editing assistant turned out to be miserable. She opted to go back to acting. After following the advice from her agent, she took acting classes in order to improve her acting skills. Within a couple of months, she was offered the role of Liza for 'In The Loop'. Soon afterwards she began appearing in Off Broadway shows. She is often unsure of whether her life would have been different if she hadn't taken breaks from performing. But she appreciates that she did her time and embraced it.
