Four are from Taylor's father's prior marriage. The family relocated to Buenos Aires to Victoria, London as Taylor-Joy reached the age of six. According to Taylor-Joy, the move was traumatic and she refused to master English with the intention of returning to Argentina. Hill House became her school that she chose after being forced to change schools. In the following years, she attended Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and was a part in plays. In her 16th year, she left school to pursue acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy grew up as an actor who knew she would become an actor. Her dreams were realized after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a job as a model.
